🌙 Birth and Upbringing of Hazrat Khwaja Garib Nawaz (RA)
Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishti (RA), lovingly known as Khwaja Garib Nawaz — “The Benefactor of the Poor” — was born in 536 AH (1141 CE) in Sanjar, a town in Sistan (now part of Iran). His noble lineage descends directly from the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ through Hazrat Imam Hasan (RA), making him a true Sayyid — a descendant of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Khwaja Sahib’s approach combined Islamic scholarship with deep personal humility. He welcomed all: rich and poor, Hindus and Muslims, travellers and merchants
